Crossroads is now Number One on the Box as the most selected hit. Selection
Number 205 on Smash Hits and The Box.
Unfortunately it is no longer number one on the Box but it is now number one
on Smash Hits! and number 9 in the MTV Hits Daily Chart for the first time.
Blazin' Squad performed live in the audience on 10th August 2002

Pop fans fired up to watch Blazin’ Squad
RISING boy band Blazin’ Squad have been added to the
bill of a concert extravaganza taking place today at Princes Street Gardens.
A pair of free Edinburgh City Council-backed pop gigs will feature as the
climax of the Capital’s £200,000 GO4IT and PLAY4IT summer activity schemes.
Thousands of youngsters aged 11 and up are expected to attend the Poptastic
roadshow at the Ross Bandstand between 1pm and 4pm this afternoon.
Featuring ten 16-year-old boys, London-based Blazin’ Squad will headline a
line-up which also boasts John Smith, No Reason, K-Klass and critics’
darling Redd.
Blazin’ Squad are expected to hit the Top Ten when their debut single
Crossroads is released next week. They have also been confirmed as part of the
annual Smash Hits Poll Winners tour, which includes Sugababes and members of
So Solid Crew.
GO4IT co-ordinator Martin Hutchison today said: "Opera-lovers have the
Edinburgh International Festival, comedy groupies have the Fringe. Boy band
fans deserve to be catered for too."
Britpop legends The Bluetones will take centre stage at Eros/Elite nightclub
in Fountain Park at a special show for youths aged 15 and over from 6pm
tonight.
Battle of the Bands competition winners Eight Lives Left and Seneka will also
perform.
Tickets for both events are still available on a first come, first served
basis from the education department’s reception at 10 Waterloo Place.
